• Mediant™ 1000 Media Gateway
The Mediant™ 1000 Hybrid Media
Gateway is a modular, compact
and cost-effective media gateway
solution which has been designed
to interface between time-division
multiplexing (TDM) and IP
networks in enterprise locations.
The compact Mediant™ 1000
modular gateway is extremely
scalable and supports multiples of
1, 2 or 4 E1/T1/J1spans or 1 to 24
analog ports in various FXS/FXO
configurations. The Mediant™
1000 also supports mixed
digital/analog configurations.

Gateway series
The MediaPack™ Analog Media
Gateway product family is based
on AudioCodes' field-proven and
best-of-breed VoIP technology.
Featuring 2, 4, 8 or 24 analog

FXO or FXS connectivity.

AudioCodes Mediant Media and MediaPack Gateways Product Overview
AudioCodes has collaborated with Microsoft to provide ShoreTel customers with a smooth migration
from the world of separated telephony and IT environments, to the world of Unified Communications.
AudioCodes offers the enterprise customer a key component in the unified telephony network, the
Media Gateway that connects the ShoreTel system with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.
AudioCodes Mediant Media Gateways are cost-effective VoIP media gateways utilizing cutting edge
technology. Intelligently packaged in a stackable 1U chassis, they are designed to interface between
Enterprise legacy telephony and IP networks.
The AudioCodes MediaPack and Mediant Media Gateways support different standalone and modular
configurations, enabling the connection of the Microsoft Unified Communications solution to ShoreTel
Systems using different types of telephony interfaces, including E1/T1/J1 spans, Basic Rate Interfaces
(BRIs) and/or analog ports in various FXO/FXS configurations.
In addition, the AudioCodes Mediant 1000 and the Mediant 2000 Media Gateways can be ordered as
Basic Hybrid Gateways, supporting an integrated Microsoft Mediation Server, with up to 16 and 120
RTA channels respectively.
